The woman was seen "dressed in a grey uniform including duty belt, police-style vehicle, and police signage," East Berlin Police Department Chief Terry Seitz stated in a release.
She was spotted in Adams County and could be traveling in the surrounding areas, Seitz explained.
The Chief reminded the public that:
"Police do not arrive at your home soliciting money for fines or monies due from either yourself or deceased family members."
Anyone concerned about the legitimacy of a police officer can call 911 for verification.
